It has become a normal thing as One-day-distance, Top 10 National and Team Eijerkamp are going hand in hand now already 8 races in a row!
The latest One-day race from Chateaudun turned out to a real Eijerkamp happening in which the train didnt stop and at the end 3 pigeons ended up in the Top 10 National NPO. From the 88 pigeons entered 65 prize cards were won.
The final results for this great race; Chateaudun National NPO 9.160 birds; 4-5-8-23-24-26-31 etc. Chateaudun NPO North 3.675 birds; 4-5-7-17-18-20-24-44-45-49 etc. Chateaudun Region 2 1.970 birds; 1-2-4-10-11-12-13-17-18-21-28-29-30 etc.

With a days delay, due to the unfavourable weather in the middle of France, the pigeons were given the green light on Sunday morning at 7h00, and the starting signal could be given for a nice race in first-class racing weather in more or less wind still conditions or a weak NW-wind. The distance Chateaudun Brummen is 565 Km and the expectations would be between 14.30 15.00 hrs. The first reports from fanciers with shorter distances showed velocities 1200 m.p.m. for these birds which meant 14.48 at the Eijerkamp lofts. But at 14.41.41 hrs a yearling hen Wieke was already clocked at Lotte Eijerkamp. Direct when she went inside the next two pigeons already arrived and who were clocked at 14.42 and 14.43. When reporting the pigeons in the club these were the first 3 reported pigeons and with velocities of 1222 1220 and 1219 m.p.m. it meant also 3 early birds in the National NPO race. All in all it was 3½ minutes before the next pigeons reported back to Greenfield Stud, but then there followed a bombardment of pigeons.

The winner of the 1st prize in Region 2 and also 4th National NPO winner is a yearling hen Wieke, named after the newborn of loftmanager Gerard Boesveld. The apple doesnt fall far of the tree as she is daughter to Santander, a son of Don Leo, 4th Nat. Ace pigeon of the Netherlands One-day distance 2004. After his great racing career Don Leo turned out to be an exceptional breeder and his descendants, until 4th generation, perform superbly. The mother to Wieke is bred from the great Janssen lines from the Troyes.

The 5th National NPO Chateaudun was won by Leonie who again shows her class after she won already 10th NPO Blois in 2009 against 4,229 birds. Leonie was bred from a Gelauf cock, lines Piet v.d. Merwe x Janssen, paired to Helga, 11th National Olympia pigeon All-round Dortmund 2009. Helga is a granddaughter of the great breeding couple Chicago x Miss Saigon

Irma was winning 8th National NPO and after her great achievement in 2009, in which she already won 11th National Chateauroux another great performance. Irma is a granddaughter of Troyes, winner 1st National Troyes 1995, as she also is a granddaughter of Fabio, a brother to Don Leo and like his brother an outstanding breeder.
