Sako van Veen, now, is a real proud fancier living in Bakkeveen, a small city in the North of the Netherlands. Bakkeveen borders at the provinces Drenthe and Groningen but lays in Friesland. Sako van Veen is member of the Amalgamation 11 Friesland, and last Saturday he had his big moment of Glory by winning 1^st Chimay (362 km) against 6,097 pigeons in District 2. His NL21-1482597 brought fame and the flowers to Bakkeveen and this winning cock is bred from a direct son of Anouk"Anouk", a superb Van Loon hen and granddaughter for the famous "Ché".

This chequer cock won with a big lead of 2,37 minutes, and with a speed of 1,417 m.p.m., the victory in District 2 against 6,097 pigeons. District 2 is an area in the Northwestern Part of Afdeling Friesland. In total 16,354 pigeons were released in Chimay and at the end the NL21-1482597 was 5^th fastest of the entire race. It was the third prize card which the winner brought home in this season. Last year he was entered a few races only and also won 2 prizes for which 17^th Zutphen against 140 pigeons was his best result.
