Georgios and Dimitrios Kalamaras from Piraeus (Greece) were over the moon with their superb performance by winning 52nd Place in the final of the Pattaya International Pigeon Race OLR recently. "Our best result ever in an OLR race with so many international competitors" Dimitrios said. The key to this huge success was their pigeon GR 22-0937239, bred out of a granddaughter of the Nieuwe Olympiade"Nieuwe Olympiade" and Euro"Euro" which they purchased in the webshop of Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp. After already winning 2nd in the Final of the As Golden Pigeon Race OLR in 2021 another huge success for this father and son partnership who more and more are specializing themselves into the OLR competition worldwide. Most remarkable perhaps is that both top pigeons are siblings so they have certainly a very promising breeding couple in their loft.

43 minutes behind the winner, from Mike Ganus - USA, the Kalamaras" pigeon was clocked in this challenging final with a speed of 1,387 meters per minute, earning the 52nd position and a prize of $2,500 out of the 5,805 pigeons entered in this final. The father of the pigeon was purchased early in 2020 at the Victoria Falls OLR, where it won 19th in the final against 1,847 pigeons. The bird is a De Rauw Sablon cock from the esteemed Andre Verbesselt lines.
The mother, "Emelisa" (NL20-1248525NL20-1248525), is a granddaughter of Euro"Euro" and Nieuwe Olympiade"Nieuwe Olympiade", bred from Diamond Euro"Diamond Euro", a highly successful breeding son of Euro"Euro" and Kadootje"Kadootje", both proven and in meantime legendary breeders at the Eijerkamp lofts.
