Team H en EJ Eijerkamp and Team Eijerkamp-Wolf enormously strong OLR start in 2026

Team Eijerkamp-Wolf has started the 2026 season in impressive fashion with a series of excellent performances in several prestigious international One Loft Races. Already during the winter season, the team confirmed once again that the Eijerkamp-Wolf pigeons belong to the absolute top level in worldwide OLR competition.

Strong results were achieved this week in Egypt as well as in Greece, Spain and Portugal, underlining the versatility and consistency of the team across very different racing conditions.

A particularly strong highlight of the early international season came from Portugal, where Team Eijerkamp-Wolf secured 1st place in the Algarve Great Derby Winter Loft Race (Portugal), one of Europe’s most competitive international One Loft Race platforms with large multinational participation and demanding middle-distance preparation races under Atlantic conditions. Race 5 was held on 13-4-2026, from Termans de Monfortinho, 328 km, 1515 pigeons were released. Winner of the race was DE-25-02241-616 from Eijerkamp-Wolf. What makes this pigeon, called African Romario so special for us (born in Switersland at Simon Wolf)? It's a grandchild of our beloved "Beetles African Dream". Father is Young Romario, already a proven breeding cock, with as father Son Romario 199.

In Portugal, Team H & E.J. Eijerkamp added another top achievement with 1st place in the Derby Moledo Yearlings Race, while Team Simon Wolf confirmed the overall team strength with an excellent 17th place with the Alp Race Team. These performances underline the versatility and depth of the Eijerkamp-Wolf pigeons across different race systems and geographical racing environments early in the season. This race was held on 17-4-2026, released were 2117 pigeons from Montemor, 185 km. Winner of the race is NL25-1095900, a grandson of "Panamera" and Vanessa NL16-1255666, dam side you will find Leideman blood, with Raissa NL15-1234061 as grandmother. Viton's Romario is the 17th place winner, the name says already, it must be a grandchild Viton ánd Moira (father side) and the mother is Romario's Sunrise, she's a direct daughter from Simons famous couple Son Romario 199 x Daughter Romario 911.

Excellent confirmation in the AS Golden Pigeon Race

Another strong highlight came from the AS Golden Pigeon Race Winter 2025-2026 (Greece), where Team H & E.J. Eijerkamp achieved 6th place in Race 2, while Team Eijerkamp-Wolf followed with 25th place in the same race. Achieving two Top-25 positions in a competitive international OLR field once again demonstrates the consistency and class of the Eijerkamp-Wolf pigeons. This race was held on 16-4-2026, 1338 pigeons were released at 8:00 A.M, flying 190 km. back home. Our 6th place winner is NL25-1096473, a granddaughter of our top breeder "Luka Modric". Our pigeon NL25-1095875 taking home an 25th Place in this second race in Portugal, is a granddaughter of Thomas 1 (mother side!). Father is a direct son of our beautiful cock New Champion NL18-1628119.

Strong performances in demanding Egyptian winter races

The winter races in Egypt are internationally known for their selective character. High temperatures, dry desert conditions and strong worldwide participation make these races a serious test of orientation ability, condition and resilience.

The Pyramids International One Loft Race (172 km) was held on 9-4-2026, once again attracted strong international competition of 1481 pigeons, where Team H & E.J. Eijerkamp secured an excellent 12th place. Our shining star is NL25-1095036. A beautiful grizzle hen, granddaughter Son Romario 199 and she's a granddaughter mother side of Silver Power NL22-8228928 (Son "Speedy Grizzle") and "Eva" (daughter "Goed Grijs").

Team H en EJ Eijerkamp placed 27th, 37th and 88th in Race 3 (250 km) of the Derby Aal Nagib, confirming that several pigeons from the team were competing at the front of the field in one of the tougher winter race series in Egypt. This race was held on 15-4-2026 and 1336 pigeons were released at 06:10 A.M. Our NL25-1096167 won in Race 1, the 48th place and was now placed 27th. For our regular followers, it will come as no surprise that this pigeon is once again the result of a successful Simon Wolf × Eijerkamp cross. This time it concerns a direct daughter of Romarios Thomas Boy, a direct son of the proven super breeder from Simon Wolf, Thomas 1. Offspring of "Romarios Thomas Boy" have already demonstrated outstanding performances in several strong international One Loft Races, including Pattaya OLR, Marismas OLR, Derby Aal Nagib, and the AS Golden Pigeon Race. On the dam’s side, this pigeon traces back to our well-known and long-proven breeder "Olympic Hurricane", adding another layer of reliability and international performance genetics to this successful combination.
