Strong Start to the 2026 Season: Four Top References with Eijerkamp Pigeons

The second race weekend of the 2026 season has delivered a series of outstanding results for fanciers racing with Eijerkamp pigeons. Across different regions and strong competitions, our bloodlines continue to prove their value at the highest level. We proudly highlight four excellent references:

Henk Douna (Donkerbroek) – Top Class in Friesland

Henk Douna, a long-established top fancier in Afdeling 11 Friesland, once again demonstrated his class. On the race from Luyksgestel (203 km), he achieved an impressive 1st prize against 4,022 pigeons. In addition, he also secured 5th prize against 18,055 pigeons with "Xandra" (NL24-8207733NL24-8207733), an inbred pigeon from the famous Viton"Viton" x Daughter Goed Grijs"Daughter Goed Grijs" breeding pair. Earlier she also won an 5th prize from Boxmeer against 14,010 pigeons. 

Henk has been among the very best for years, also thanks to his super hen "Ireen"Ireen"", who now strengthens our breeding loft.

Pedigree of Xandra

Peter Beentjes – Fastest of 12,459 Pigeons

A remarkable performance came from Peter Beentjes, who clocked the fastest pigeon overall from the race out of Bierges, competing against no fewer than 12,459 pigeons. This resulted in an impressive 1st prize of North Holland with his pigeon NL25-1225163.

The pedigree of this winner is particularly special. On the mother’s side, it traces back to Nika"Nika" (Eijerkamp-Paalman), winner of 1st Natour Ace Afdeling 9 in 2023, crossed with a half-brother of Beetle"Beetle". Proven performance meets strong genetics here.

Appie Welgraven (Spankeren) – Another 1st Prize

Appie Welgraven achieved a beautiful 1st prize against 4,502 pigeons from Heusden-Zolder (125 km). His winning hen is bred from the renowned Jackpot Junior"Jackpot Junior" line combined with Nieuwe Olympiade"Nieuwe Olympiade", while on the father’s side the line traces back to "Luka Modric". A powerful combination of proven winning families.

Dirk de Greef – Dominance from Chimay

Dirk de Greef delivered an outstanding result from Chimay (226 km), winning 1st, 2nd, 6th, etc. against 1,944 pigeons. His winner, NL25-1095784NL25-1095784, combines top genetics on both sides: from the father’s side Boela Bolt"Boela Bolt", and from the mother’s side an inbreeding to the strong Viton"Viton" x Daughter Goed Grijs"Daughter Goed Grijs" couple.
