Chalons 3-4-9-10 against 1,653 pigeons

Last week’s race proved to be a demanding one for some of the pigeons. For that reason, they were given an extra week to recover by caretakers Michal Jagielsky and Arnold Paalman. In addition, the cocks at the NPO loft in Brummen were given a mandatory week of rest.

Due to the tough races of recent weeks, the overall participation in our racing area was also considerably lower than in previous weeks. The release on Saturday in Châlons-en-Champagne was unfortunately delayed because of heavy rain and thunderstorms. Eventually, the pigeons were released at 11:45 a.m. in variable winds.

The pace was set in Brummen (373 km) by "Byou Dream," who, with a speed of 1,277 m.p.m., ultimately won 3. prize in the Region against 1,653 pigeons and this marked her 7. prizecard from 7 entries so far. "Byou Dream" is a daughter of Bert "Bert" and "Byou."

In the region, "Cindy" ultimately secured 6. position and this hen was also the first pigeon to arrive at the Eijerkamp-Paalman lofts in Laren (389 km). The final result was 3. - 6. - 9. - and 10. position against 1,653 pigeons.

Ultimately, the team of Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp delivered the strongest performance in the Grand Master standings of the entire race area, winning 29 prizes from 46 entered pigeons with 454 prizepoints.
