Young Fancier Jelle Hooikammer Continues to Impress with Eijerkamp Bloodlines
Some pigeon fanciers announce themselves with a single outstanding performance. Young Dutch fancier Jelle Hooikammer, living in Staphorst, is proving that his success is no coincidence. Racing with top-quality Eijerkamp bloodlines, he continues to deliver remarkable performances at the highest level.
Last weekend, Jelle achieved an exceptional victory by winning 1st prize against 10,682 birds from Weert (159 km) with his outstanding young hen NL26-8475433NL26-8475433 "Grizzle Davina" (born in Brummen).
This talented grizzle hen is bred from proven Eijerkamp genetics. On her dam’s side she is a granddaughter of the legendary Rachel"Rachel". Grizzle Davina is almost a copy of her famous grandmother Rachel who won herself 1. Provincial against 1,.059 pigeons also from Weert (raced in Brummen). While her grandfather is "Smokey Beetle", bred from the famous pairing Magic Euro x Beetle. Once again, these world-class bloodlines demonstrate their exceptional breeding value.
"Grizzle Davina" is not only the winner of this impressive first prize but is also currently ranked as the Best Young Bird NPO Championship under 25, underlining her outstanding consistency and class.
Jelle’s result from Weert was nothing short of spectacular. Besides taking 1st prize against 10,682 birds, he also clocked:
- 3rd prize
- 15th prize
- 19th prize
- 30th prize
- and several more top positions against the same strong competition.
His second arrival was NL26-8475363NL26-8475363, while NL26-8475382NL26-8475382 secured the third arrival for the Hooikammer loft, confirming the exceptional quality throughout the team.
Jelle’s close pigeon friend William Huls also demonstrated the strength of these Eijerkamp pigeons. Unfortunately, a technical timing issue prevented two of his pigeons from being officially recorded at the correct moment. Otherwise, NL26-8475398NL26-8475398 would have finished 6th against 10,682 birds, while NL26-8475411NL26-8475411 would have claimed 10th prize in this highly competitive race.
These performances once again highlight the enormous potential of the current generation of Eijerkamp pigeons in the hands of ambitious young fanciers. Seeing talented youngsters like Jelle Hooikammer achieve such outstanding results is a great reward and confirms that carefully selected breeding lines continue to produce champions.
The entire Eijerkamp team warmly congratulates Jelle Hooikammer on this magnificent victory and wishes him continued success for the remainder of the young bird season. With performances like these, the future certainly looks very bright.
