Super references Eijerkamp August Part 3, Brothers Homma and Henk Douna 1-15 against 13.730 pigeons
A spectacular day of racing yesterday on the Boxmeer flight, with the pigeons coming home in fantastic style. Gebroeders Homma delivered an extraordinary performance, taking positions 1 through 13 against no fewer than 13,730 pigeons.
In the distance, the first group of around five pigeons came storming towards the loft. Moments later, pigeons arrived from several different directions, with multiple birds dropping together. It was a truly spectacular sight.
An exceptional performance
The winning pigeon was young hen NL26-368. She was bred from an inbred son of ‘Dakar’, NL18-1627728NL18-1627728 a proven top breeder originating from Hans & Evert-Jan Eijerkamp.
On this occasion, ‘Dakar’ was paired to his own daughter ‘Olympic Luna’, winner of 1st Olympiad Pigeon Category JL 2021. On the maternal side, the winner goes back to ‘Miss Paalman’, a direct pigeon from Arnold Paalman.
Arnold Paalman originally donated ‘Miss Paalman’ as an egg to Wilco & Klaas Boltjes, where she went on to produce an impressive seven 1st prizes.
The influence of ‘Dakar’ is unmistakable throughout this outstanding result. Among the first 13 pigeons, there are no fewer than nine grandchildren and one direct child of ‘Dakar’.
This once again underlines the extraordinary breeding power behind this bloodline. Direct children of ‘Dakar’ have already won four 1st prizes at Federation level, and now his descendants have produced another phenomenal result at Boxmeer.
Henk Douna also among the very best
Henk Douna’s first pigeon was NL24-8207735NL24-8207735, finishing among this exceptional group of early arrivals.
This pigeon is a grandchild of ‘Ireen"Ireen"’, a direct Eijerkamp pigeon with which Henk Douna himself also achieved great success on the racing loft.
His second pigeon was NL24-8207733NL24-8207733, further contributing to the tremendous performance.
A result to remember
