One of the absolute standout performances of the past weekend was achieved by Henk Douna from Donkerbroek. In recent weeks, Henk has regularly produced some spectacular results, and once again his pigeons were in outstanding form this weekend. Both in the Grand Prix race from Rethel and the Natour race from Weert, his team delivered exceptional performances, with Eijerkamp pigeons and their descendants playing a leading role.
1. & 2. Provincial Rethel against 4,780 pigeons
In the Grand Prix race from Rethel, Henk Douna achieved a fantastic double by winning 1. and 2. Provincial against 4,780 pigeons. Even more impressive is the fact that both pigeons were bred by Hans & Evert-Jan Eijerkamp in Brummen. First to arrive was NL26-8475284NL26-8475284, and Just a few seconds later, loftmate NL26-8475526NL26-8475526 followed to win Gold and Silver.In the entire Northern Section, these two youngsters also finished an outstanding 4. and 5. against no fewer than 8,793 pigeons.
The winner, NL26-8475284NL26-8475284, has a pedigree packed with proven quality on both sides. Her father "Neron" won several top prizes at the Eijerkamp-Paalman lofts and has meanwhile also developed into a proven breeder. "Neron" was bred from Turbo Donny"Turbo Donny" x Royal Flush"Royal Flush".
The mother of the winner is "Sister Lady Roye", a daughter of the superb breeding pair "Inbred Jupiter" x "Beauty Blue". This was one of the very best breeding pairs at the loft of Golden Duif winner Geurt Doppenberg, and both pigeons were later transferred to the breeding lofts of Hans & Evert-Jan Eijerkamp. The exceptional breeding power of this family was underlined once again during the same weekend. Willem van Klompenburg from Hierden won 1. Provincial St. Soupplets against 6,574 pigeons in the Eastern Section with a pigeon bred from a full sister to "Sister Lady Roye".

The second arrival, NL26-8475526NL26-8475526, is a grandchild of both the famous Geeloger"Geeloger" and "Ireen" and once again confirmed its exceptional talent with another major top result. This youngster has already recorded two outstanding performances in strong competition 2. Eefde against 13,352 pigeons and now 2. Provincial Rethel against 4,780 pigeons.
The father of NL26-8475526NL26-8475526 comes from a special joint breeding between the famous Geeloger"Geeloger" and "Ireen". "Ireen" became 1. National Ace Pigeon Sprint PIPA in 2022 for Henk Douna and has also proven her exceptional breeding value. The mother is Stacey"Stacey", an original Willem de Bruijn hen, bringing together several outstanding bloodlines in this highly promising youngster.

Henk Douna's fantastic weekend did not end with the double victory from Rethel. He also produced a tremendous result in the Natour race from Weert (201 km), where no fewer than 10,721 pigeons competed. Hestarting 3. – 4. – 5. – 6. – 14. – 17. – 30. – 33. etc. Once again, an original Hans & Evert-Jan Eijerkamp pigeon was the first arrival at the Douna loft. This time it was NL24-8207733NL24-8207733 "Xandra", bred from Greyhound"Greyhound" x "Grizzle Rossi Hen". Greyhound"Greyhound" is a son of Viton"Viton" x Daughter Goed Grijs"Daughter Goed Grijs", while "Grizzle Rossi Hen" is a daughter of the famous Turbo Rossi"Turbo Rossi" x Ramisha"Ramisha".
With her 3. Provincial Weert against 10,721 pigeons, "Xandra" once again demonstrated her tremendous racing qualities. Her impressive list of top results now includes:

More Eijerkamp bloodlines dominate the top of the result
The 4. Provincial was won by NL25-1519232. Its father, NL23-9101531NL23-9101531, is the result of another special joint breeding, this time from Magic Euro"Magic Euro" x "Ireen". The mother is "Ninte" NL21-1668875NL21-1668875, a daughter of Calisto"Calisto" x "Katinka".
The 5. prize was won by NL23-9559227, bred from NL21-1668205NL21-1668205 "Magic Boy" paired to a granddaughter of Flush"Flush" and Gucci Grizzle"Gucci Grizzle". The 6. prize was claimed by NL26-8319427, another youngster carrying powerful Eijerkamp bloodlines. This pigeon was bred from another joint breeding with "Beauty Schallie", a son of Herby"Herby" x "Ireen", paired to "Miss Pipa". "Miss Pipa" is certainly no stranger to top-class performances herself, having won 1. Provincial twice for Henk Douna. She is also a granddaughter of the legendary Vetblauwe Jackpot"Vetblauwe Jackpot".
