Richard van den Bos 1. National Ace Yearlings 2026 De Allerbeste

 

Some seasons are simply meant to be remembered, and for Richard van den Bos from Stad aan 't Haringvliet, the Netherlands, this was one of them. His pigeons found their way to the front of the results sheet and one of them, the brilliant "042", ended the season with a preliminary result to be truly proud of: 1. National Ace pigeon Yearlings and 3. National Ace pigeon Allround at the national competition of De Allerbeste. What a fantastic pigeon he has turned out to be!

 

Even as a youngster, the "042" showed he was something special, returning home early to the loft no fewer than four times. This year he built on that early promise in style, clocking eight more 1:100 top results over the season.

On the final three middle-distance races, he was in the prizes every single time 1st, 2nd and 4th in his racing area topped off with a 5th National (NPO) from Vivonne, 660 km. That consistency was rewarded with a 2nd place Ace Pigeon championship in Natour and Generaal in flying area 1 Bruin.

 

Behind every great pigeon is a great pedigree, and the 042 is no exception. His father was taken as an egg, through a voucher, from us here in Brummen and is a grandson of our legendary Olympic Hans"Olympic Hans" His mother traces directly back to 'Olympic 22', bred by Jim and Mick Hameeteman. The father NL24-8430599 was raised from the eggs Richard taken as his father is NL18-1629771NL18-1629771 'Kalypso', proven son from Olympic Hans"Olympic Hans" X Alexis"Alexis" and 'Kalypson' was paired to 'Amiga', granddaughter of the 'Olympic Solange' from G&S Verkerk. It is a pedigree built for greatness and once again, the 'Olympic Hans' line has proven itself on the racing line, this time through a fancier who knows exactly how to bring out the best in his pigeons.

 

What makes this season even more special is that Richard isn't celebrating alone. His two young daughters have already caught the pigeon passion as well. It is a wonderful reminder that pigeon racing is a sport for young and old alike, and there are few things more rewarding than sharing this beautiful passion across generations. We warmly congratulate Richard van den Bos on a fantastic season, and we look forward to seeing many more wonderful results from his loft and hopefully, from his daughters too!
