Tremendous success in OLR races with Eijerkamp blood (part 2)

 

Franz and Martin Steffl had another great achievement in Hot Spot 4 of the Golden Algarve Race in Portugal as their pigeon DV08897-26-3099 'Port Royal' won 2. Hot Spot 4 (196 km) against 4,754 pigeons just beaten by 4 seconds. 'Port Royal' is full sister to DV26-3077 who won 5. Semifinal (273 km) in Derby Halkidiki in Greece earlier this season against against 1,148 pigeons as well as 81. in the Final of this OLR race. Both bred from a full brother of their 'Beocca', who was glorius winner of this prestigious and  biggest OLR race in Europa in 2022, when paired to 'Geisha Grizzle', NL25-1095986NL25-1095986, a granddaughter to the super pair Viton"Viton" x Daughter Goed Grijs"Daughter Goed Grijs" as well as granddaughter to Blue Magic"Blue Magic" X Speedy Grizzle"Speedy Grizzle".

Sijtse de Jager can look back on a fantastic result in the Final of the Viking OLR in Sweden. Against a field of 1,203 pigeons entered, ring number NL-26-8440261 claimed an excellent 2nd place, clocking a speed of 1285.629 m/min over a distance of 332 km. The father of this pigeon is completely Eijerkamp related: "Chaylito" NL22-8193424 (see pedigree below) as the father NL20-1250051NL20-1250051 is "Chemilio", halfbrother from our famous Indy"Indy" while mother NL19-1412529NL19-1412529 is bred from a granddaughter of "Che"

 

A brilliant performance and a wonderful achievement for Sijtse de Jager and NL-26-8440261, congratulations on this great result in the Viking OLR Final!

 

 

Simon Wolf hardly needs any further introduction, as he is well known as the successful partner in the Eijerkamp-Wolf team. However, together with his wife Evelyn, Simon also competes very successfully under the name Team Barclay, and once again they achieved some excellent results in the Portuguese One Loft Races. In Hot Spot 5 (269 km) of the Golden Algarve Race, Team Barclay won an impressive 7. and 17. prize, with both pigeons carrying the bloodlines of their outstanding foundation breeder "Thomas 1", grandson of the legendary Romario"Romario" of J. Hallmann.
But that was not all as on the very same day, Simon and Evelyn also celebrated another top result in Portugal, winning 4. Hot Spot 3 (241 km) in the Great Algarve Derby against 2,497 pigeons, missing the victory by less than two seconds.
This 4. prize winner, DV02241-26-437, has some very interesting Eijerkamp blood running through its veins. The father is NL25-1096619NL25-1096619, a direct son of Bor"Bor" x Rapido"Rapido". This combination has already proven its tremendous breeding value, particularly in One Loft Races, as several descendants have performed at a very high level, including a 1. Ace Pigeon Derby Ostseerennen. The mother of DV02241-26-437 is heavily inbred to the world-famous "Romario", a legendary pigeon whose bloodline has played an enormously important role in Simon Wolf's loft for many years.

 

Simon can rightly be regarded as one of the true custodians of this exceptional Romario"Romario" family. Once again, tremendous success for Simon and Evelyn Wolf, showing their strength in two major Portuguese One Loft Races on the same day.
