During the months of May, June, July, August and September we will make available 1,000 Euro in vouchers towards pigeons. We will divide the 1,000 Euro into three vouchers in the amounts of 500 , 300 and 200 Euro. For us the information on the performances produced by Eijerkamp offspring is valuable because it helps us further strengthen our lines and when breeding we keep this information on performances of the offspring in mind.
Last week’s race from Morlincourt was a race to remember. Team Eijerkamp scored 6 Teletext pigeons, a feat they had not achieved till now. We want to thank all those that congratulated and complimented Team Eijerkamp by Email, SMS or by telephone; we all appreciate your thoughtfulness.
It’s happened to all of us; a stray youngster enters the loft and doesn’t want to leave. You take it along on a training toss, it comes back and some of your own youngsters stay behind. The owner comes to get the stray from quite a distance and the baby comes back to your loft. It seems that the pigeon has found a loft it likes more than its own and it’s not going back to the old loft under any circumstances.
Team Eijerkamp was merciless on the first middle distance race of the 2011 season when they scored 6 positions on the Teletext and had even more early positions against 26,748 pigeons. Morlincourt May 14 (357 km) NPO 26,748 pigeons: 4-5-6-10-12-15-48-70-71-72 etc. Morlincourt NPO North 14,598 pigeons: 2-3-4-5-7-8-25-30-31-32 etc. This is tremendous result that will be written to the record

In 2004 Branko Gorupec knocked at the Eijerkamp door. He has not regretted this decision for one moment. Looking for better pigeons at the show in Kassel he spoke with the Eijerkamp’s and chose a pair of pigeons to take to Croatia. We can without doubt call the extremely well-organized Olympiad in Poznan Poland a real pigeon happening. Friday was comfortably busy, with many foreigners visiting all the stands. But, then came Saturday and the roof literally blew off. Long before the doors were due to open there were thousands of people standing in line eagerly waiting to storm into the exhibition halls. Shortly before eight the doors opened and the crowd surged into the hall.
In previous years, Hans and Evert Jan Eijerkamp have constantly searched for pigeons that would increase the quality and guarantee the future of their colony of pigeons. More and more the focus for Eijerkamp has moved to the one day NPO races from 500 to 650 km. In the future they are thinking off increasing the distance of the one day races to 800 km. Eijerkamp also want to play a significant role on the International one loft races.
We are constantly searching for top pigeons. One of the methods we use is by breeding and selecting at our own lofts. Everyone understands that in order to increase and maintain the quality of our pigeons, selection is an essential tool. Over the years we have developed a system that we use to select our pigeons. Each and every pigeon that is used to breed from or that we sell has to meet our criteria on this point we are very strict.
On Wednesday December 29, 2010 the last of 5 Hot Spot-races took place in South Africa. The Hot Spot-races are flown in preparation for the Sun City Million Dollar Race, which is to be flown on January 22, 2011. The distance of this race will be approximately 550 km. The 2,802 pigeons basketed for the last Hot Spot-race were released near Christiana, a distance of 347 km from the lofts at Sun City.
