Preliminary 1. Provincial Ace pigeon Short-distance for Ydo and Elco Homma from Steggerda with a granddaughter New Euro
Ydo and Elco Homma have had a fantastic start to the season with their hens consistently performing well in all races, as we mentioned earlier. They have now achieved another huge success by winning 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th, and so on, in their federation against a total of 1,161 pigeons. Provincial they won 5th, 8th, 9th and 10th against 8,898 pigeons in this race from Heusden-Zolder (210 km). It once again proved the quality of their pigeons, but more importantly, it highlighted the class of Ydo and Elco. Of the 42 pigeons entered, all their favorites were clocked within their first 10 pigeons, including their new star "Antoinette", who has now won another top prize after securing 1st prize in the Heusden-Zolder race against 2,142 pigeons earlier this season.

At the halfway point of the season, this blue granddaughter of the New Euro"New Euro" was positioned as the 1st Provincial Ace pigeon within Afdeling 11 Friesland on the short-distance. In the Heusden-Zolder race, she was recently ranked 7th out of 1,161 pigeons. It is worth noting that she has already achieved previous victories.

"Antoinette", NL22-8131952NL22-8131952, was bred from "Dynamic Arnold", a pure Arnold Paalman pigeon from the top hen "Blauwe Jet", who has won numerous top prizes including 1st place in Tienen against 7,823 pigeons. The dam of NL22-8131952NL22-8131952 is "Nelly", a daughter of New Euro"New Euro" and Lady Bolt"Lady Bolt", (acquired in 2021 from Gert and Frans Rondags) and Lady Bolt"Lady Bolt" has won 6 pure first prizes in their loft. New Euro"New Euro" has become one of the absolute top breeders, as since 2019 there has been at least one son or daughter each season that has ranked among the top 10 National Ace Pigeons in the Netherlands.

The winner is a late-bred pigeon from 2022 which was bred in the Eijerkamp breeding lofts. She is a cross between the best of the Leideman brothers and a top breeding hen, "Mother Nienke" from Arnold Paalman, who was already the mother of "Nienke". "Nienke" was the 3rd National Ace Pigeon Yearlings in the competition at De Allerbeste for the Homma brothers. The father of NL22-8209291NL22-8209291 is "Charley", a son of "Crack 19", one of the foundation pigeons in the lofts of Andre and Bert Leideman, while the mother, as mentioned, is "Mother Nienke" and she is a cross between the top lines of Stefaan Lambrechts and the best of Ydo and Elco Homma. NL22-8209291NL22-8209291 already won the 1st Burdinne against 1,144 pigeons last year as a young pigeon and now has won her second victory in great style.
