Perhaps the moral winner of the provincial race from Châlons-en-Champagne last weekend was the yearling hen belonging to Dirk de Greef from Lienden. Despite a strong west wind favoring pigeons on the eastern side of all sections, de Greef’s hen achieved an impressive victory from one of the most westerly points of Section 8 in Lienden. Competing in the southwest flying area against 2,280 pigeons, she also secured 10. place provincially against 12,324 pigeons. The pigeons were released at 2:00 PM in northern France, and the distance from Châlons-en-Champagne to Lienden was 343 km. The NL23-9163465 made her golden clocking at 6:03:34 PM, achieving a speed of 1,410 meters per minute. Dirk bred this yearling from a direct son of Xenon"Xenon", the champion who became the 1. National Ace Pigeon One-Day Long Distance at De Fondspiegel in the 2018-2019 seasons at the Eijerkamp lofts.
