Competing against 4,193 pigeons, their champion bird, "Champus 606", soared to first place. Covering the 320 km distance from Chalons in France to Zwingenberg, a small town nestled between Darmstadt and Mannheim, "Champus 606" achieved an impressive average speed of 1,304 meters per minute.
