Due to the hot and unstable weather in the Balkan the Semi-final for the Derby Zagreb OLR was scheduled 3 days earlier and so the 881 pigeons were liberated on August 25th at 08.00 hrs. in Gyongos (Hungary) to compete each other in a distance of 350 km.
The Derby started with 1,871 pigeons collected from all parts of Europe to compete each other in the area of Zagreb in Croatia. In the training and in the first 3 Hot Spot Races some of the Eijerkamp pigeons did already well but now in the semifinal they did superb winning 3rd, 10th and 53rd position in Hot Spot 4 which also was already semi-final.
