Georgios & Dimitrios Kalamaras – Piraeus winning 2. and 37. Final As Golden Pigeon Race OLR – Greece bred out of a granddaughter Nieuwe Olympiade and Euro
The final for the As Golden Pigeon final race in Greece took place in August in one of the hottest months in Greece in which pigeons need to concur these temperatures. The lofts for this One Loft Race standing near Thessaloniki and the 1,649 pigeons entered started their training in the middle of June.
Because of the very hot temperatures the organizers decided to reduce the distance for the final to 330 km in order to give the pigeons all good changes for a good and honest final race. The pigeons were liberated early morning at 06.45 hrs. with a headwind and around 11.30 hrs. the first two pigeons arrived at the lofts and the winner, Jan Niculae from Romania, was clocked with a speed of 1,149 m.p.m just before the silver Medaille winner from father and son Kalamaras.

Father to the second final winner was bought early 2020 in the Victoria Falls OLR where this cock was 19th Final winner against 1,847 pigeons and this cock is a De Rauw Sablon cock from the super Andre Verbesselt lines.
From the same couple they also sent the GR21-0000263GR21-0000263 to the race and this pigeon finished 37th Final against the 623 remaining competitors basketed.
