Eijerkamp pigeons perform extremely well on one loft races

Congratulations to Ashley Burdett from Mansfield (UK) for winning the 12th prize in Hot Spot 1 of the Pride of Potteries OLR (One Loft Race) with a 100% Eijerkamp pigeon

 Ashley Burdett took the initiative in early 2022 and approached Henk Jurriens. Ashley had seen a large number of Heremans-Ceusters pigeons in the webshop of Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp, and he wanted to add all of them to his newly established breeding loft. The deal was made, and even afterwards, numerous Eijerkamp pigeons from Brummen found their new home in Mansfield, located in the Nottinghamshire district.
 

 
In December 2022, Ashley paired the pigeons, and as a result, a number of offspring were entered into One Loft Races in Great Britain. Some of his 2023 youngsters were placed in the Pride of the Potteries OLR race in Newcastle Under Lyme. On May 1st of this year, the training flights began for the 1,400 young pigeons brought in by mainly English fanciers. Among them were 22 young pigeons from Ashley Burdett, all of which received intensive training with 17 training sessions up to 20 miles (32 km). Afterward, the remaining youngsters were basketed for the first Hot Spot flight of 76 miles (122 km).
 
Ashley clocked 3 pigeons within 10 seconds, and they were classified as 11^th, 12^th, and 19^th  against the remaining 811 entered pigeons. The 12^th prize winner, GB23-Z-04524 "Big Red," is a 100% Eijerkamp pigeon, a crossbreed of the impressive Heremans-Ceusters lines combined with the Janssen x Van Loon lines.
The sire, "Red Sensation" NL22-8228771NL22-8228771, is a grandson of Vetblauwe Jackpot"Vetblauwe Jackpot" and Vale Jackpot"Vale Jackpot" while the dam, "Esme" NL21-1669726NL21-1669726, is a granddaughter of Kain"Kain" and Carlos"Carlos".
