Simon Wolf from Oberstammheim, Switzerland, has once again demonstrated that his "Romario" descendants are among the best pigeons for One Loft Races (OLR). In the recent Derby Moledo, located on the northern coast of Portugal, his pigeons showcased their exceptional abilities, excelling both in the flights and in the yearling Ace pigeon category. In a competition that began with 3,579 entered pigeons, Simon Wolf bred both the 1st and 3rd Ace pigeons. This remarkable achievement further cements his reputation as a specialist in OLR races. The "Romario" line has already proven its excellent crossbreeding capabilities, a fact reaffirmed in the Moledo race. The 1st Ace pigeon is a cross between the "Romario" line on the mother’s side and a direct Eijerkamp cock, which is a son of the top breeder Bor"Bor" paired with Rachel"Rachel".

This blue cock is the Ace pigeon in the Moledo OLR 2024 Yearlings competition, raced under the name Team Weijers-Wolf, a joint team formed for this race with Bas Weijers from Groesbeek, Netherlands. The father of the Ace pigeon is NL21-1669885NL21-1669885 "Rocky", a son of Bor"Bor" and Rachel"Rachel". These two outstanding pigeons were purchased by Hans and Evert-Jan in the complete sale of all racing pigeons from Andre and Bert Leideman in 2020. After concluding their successful racing careers in Hardenberg, both Bor"Bor" and Rachel"Rachel" became distinguished breeders at the Eijerkamp lofts, producing offspring that consistently make a difference.
The mother of the Ace pigeon is "Sweet Romario 62", an inbred to the renowned "Romario". The father is a double grandson while the mother is a granddaughter of the same "Romario", who made a name for himself at Jörg Hallmann’s lofts. A full sister of this Ace pigeon won 98. in the final of the Golden Algarve Race in 2023.

In the challenging final, this pigeon also secured 5th place, arriving simultaneously with the winner, ultimately earning 3. Ace pigeon for the Eijerkamp-Wolf team. Since 2022, Simon, Hans, and Evert-Jan have been competing together under this combination in multiple OLR races, breeding pigeons in both Switzerland and Brummen from the best at Wolf’s lofts. In addition to the "Romario" lines, Simon also breeds several Eijerkamp pigeons along with those from Fröhlingsdorf, Ganus, Leideman, and Herbots.
The father of the 3. Ace pigeon is "Monello One", a direct Leideman pigeon, being a son of "Monello" and "Selassie", which is a brother of the 1. and 2. NPO Sens against 4,672 pigeons and the 1. National Dizy against 5,618 pigeons. "Selassie" is once again a daughter of Rachel"Rachel", who continues to produce exceptional offspring at the Eijerkamp lofts in Brummen.
