Eijerkamp Excels in Marismas Masters OLR Fancier of the Race 7 Marismas Masters OLR
The Marismas Masters One Loft Race (OLR) in Spain, is in full swing, with 10 intense races testing the endurance, speed, and consistency of the competing pigeons. The competition is fierce, and to be crowned Best Fancier of the race, a participant's three fastest pigeons from one team (maximum of 12 pigeons) must perform at the highest level.
From the very start, our Team Eijerkamp, we send in one team of 12 pigeons, has demonstrated remarkable strength. In the first race on January 25th, covering 75 km against 1,188 pigeons, our birds secured the top position:
- 1st Prize – Best Fancier Marismas Masters Race 1
Building on this fantastic opening, our team continued its success in Race 2, held on January 31st over a distance of 103 km against 1,150 pigeons. Our outstanding pigeon, NL24-8208813NL24-8208813 , clinched first place:
- 1st Prize – Marismas Masters Race 2
Now, with seven races completed, our team of twelve pigeons continues to deliver incredible performances. Out of the seven races so far, we have achieved:
- 2x Best Fancier (1st place)
- 1x 2nd place Best Fancier
- 1x 4th place Best Fancier
In race 7, our best three pigeons were: NL24-8208655NL24-8208655 (father Romario’s Thomas Boy x Demi), NL24-8208658NL24-8208658, NL24-8208322NL24-8208322, resulting in Best Fancier of the Race 7!
Race 7 of the Marismas Masters took place on March 4, 2025, covering a distance of 253.26 km with 761 pigeons participating. The pigeons were released at 09:00, and the first arrival was recorded at 11:45:59, resulting in a flight duration of 2 hours, 45 minutes, and 59 seconds, achieving a speed of 1525.8 m/min. Our first three pigeons all came back home in the same minute at 11:46.
These consistent top finishes have propelled us into 2nd place in the overall standings. With three races remaining, the battle for the Best Fancier title is intensifying, and we are determined to keep pushing forward.
The successes in the Marismas Masters OLR reflect the strength of our pigeons and the excellence of our breeding program. We look forward to the remaining races and hope to continue this incredible journey to the top!
