Marche marked the final race of the 2026 season, and what a spectacular finale it turned out to be for Eijerkamp-Paalman. The team from Laren completely dominated the race, recording an impressive 1-2-3-4-5 against 4,286 pigeons in Flying Area Midden.
The final result was simply outstanding: 1-2-3-4-5-10-19-24-25-27-28-30-31-35-36 against 4,286 pigeons
This meant no fewer than 4 pigeons in the first 1:1,000 and 15 pigeons in the first 1:100,  a fitting conclusion to another highly successful season for Arnold Paalman and the Eijerkamp-Paalman team. Once again, Arnold demonstrated why he has become such a specialist in races up to 450 kilometres. Week after week, his pigeons have shown their quality, and in this final race of the season they saved one of their very best performances for last.

"Borry" completes a remarkable comeback
The pigeons were released in Marche at 11:50, and at exactly 14:15:20 two pigeons arrived together and were clocked in the very same second on the Benzing antennas in Laren. "Borry", NL25-1095008NL25-1095008, was classified as the winner. This cock, a son of Bor"Bor" x Flamengo"Flamengo", has quite a story behind his victory.
During the second race of the 2026 season, "Borry" returned home seriously injured. His racing campaign had to be interrupted while Arnold carefully nursed him back to full health. Eventually, he recovered sufficiently to make his comeback during the Natour races, and what a comeback it has been.
As the ultimate reward for Arnold’s care and patience, "Borry" showed in Marche that he has lost none of his quality. Winning 1. against 4,286 pigeons is a magnificent way to complete his 2026 season, and his performance certainly raises expectations for what he might be capable of in 2027.

Another top youngster from "Neron" x "Sister Lady Roye"
Clocked in exactly the same second as "Borry" was NL26-8475169NL26-8475169, who was classified 2nd against 4,286 pigeons. In the Netherlands there cannot be an equal winner, so when two pigeons are clocked at exactly the same time, their nominated position determines the final classification.
NL26-8475169NL26-8475169 is a young hen bred from "Neron" x "Sister Lady Roye", a pairing that is rapidly establishing a reputation for producing exceptional youngsters. We recently highlighted this very same pair following another victory by one of their youngsters at the loft of Henk Douna from Donkerbroek. Now, with NL26-8475169NL26-8475169 taking 2. prize against 4,286 pigeons at Eijerkamp-Paalman, "Neron" x "Sister Lady Roye" once again underline their value as a breeding pair.

With 1-2-3-4-5 and 15 pigeons among the first 1:100 against 4,286 pigeons, Eijerkamp-Paalman could hardly have wished for a better way to bring the curtain down on the 2026 racing season.
