Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp and Simon Wolf join forces
Since 2022, Simon, Hans, and Evert-Jan have been competing together in multiple OLR races (Eijerkamp-Wolf), breeding pigeons in both Switzerland and Brummen. This success was highlighted in 2024 by winning the 1. Ace Pigeon in the largest OLR race in Europe with ‘Tarzan Jane’, bred from ‘Thomas 1’ (a top breeder in Simon Wolf’s loft) paired with ‘Golden Manu’, a superb breeding hen owned by Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp and a daughter of the legendary ‘Manu’ of Gerard Koopman.
In addition to the 'Romario' lines, Simon also breeds several Eijerkamp pigeons, along with some specimens from Thomas Kornelius, George Fröhlingsdorf, Mike Ganus, and the Leideman Bros. Over time, this partnership has grown into a true friendship, with Simon now having the very best of Eijerkamp in his lofts, while Eijerkamp can rightfully call itself the best satellite loft of Simon Wolf.
Simon Wolf is the driving force behind the Alp Race Team and a renowned name in international pigeon racing. Over the years, the Swiss pigeon fancier has dedicated himself to building the largest and best 'Romario' collection in Europe. Thanks to the introduction of 'Romario' blood, Simon Wolf has achieved impressive results in One Loft Races (OLR), including:

The core of success; 'Romario'
The most important breeders of Simon Wolf are 'Son Romario 199; (DV03801-13-199), 'Daughter Romario' (DV03801-17-911) and 'Thomas 1' (DV01696-18-1), grandson of the legendary 'Romario'.
'Romario', was bred at Jörg Hallmann in Germany, and he descends from an elite bloodline rooted in the renowned 'Mattens' x 'Sissy' and 'Ace Four' families of Ad Schaerlaeckens. His father, 'Remus' (03801-04-144), and mother, 03801-05-209, both originated from Schaerlaeckens' top breeding stock, carrying an incredible eight-fold inbreeding to 'Mattens' x 'Sissy'.
'Romario’s' pedigree includes legendary pigeons such as 'Invincible', 'Beauty II', 'David’s Favorite', and 'Wounded Knee', making him a powerhouse of racing genetics. His lineage has produced multiple international OLR winners, proving the unrivaled strength and consistency of these bloodlines in high-level competition.
